Privacy

StepWatcher collects no data. Nothing you do in the app leaves your devices.

Last updated 6 October 2026

What the app reads

With your permission, StepWatcher reads two things from Apple Health: your steps and your walking + running distance. It uses them only to show your counts, charts, complications and widgets. It never writes to Apple Health.

What the app keeps

Your settings (step and distance goals, miles or kilometers, and how History shows date ranges) are stored on your iPhone and Apple Watch. The two devices share your goals directly with each other through Apple's watch connection. Nothing goes to a server.

What the app doesn't do

  • No account or sign-in.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking.
  • No third-party code or services.
  • No network connections of its own.

To change or remove StepWatcher's access to your Health data at any time, open the Health app on your iPhone, tap your picture, then Apps under Privacy, then StepWatcher.
